Tire size lift kit help
I was wondering if there is any way possible to keep the 8" rims and get 22x12x8 tires with any lift kit out there? Would wheel spacers help any? Will the stock 8" rims fit the 12" wide tire? In looked at the specs for both the all sport and the jake's lift kits, and they both said that you need to have at least 10" rims to install either lift kit. Please help me answer any of these questions. Greatly appreciated.

Re: Tire size lift kit help
Welcome to BGW!
I could be wrong, but I don't think you could get a 12" wide tire on an 8" rim. The 10" rim provides clearance for the tie rod extensions. |

Re: Tire size lift kit help
Yeah I don't think you can use 8" rims. And with the width, the 12" tires are too wide to fit on the 8" rims, you'll need a 10" wide. I've seen some guys do it but the tires will be significantly shorter and might even spin on the rim.
