Default Couple questions

I have a G-2 / 6" jakes / 22x10x10's/plowmans set up with jets, clutch, muffler and gov bypassed. I understand traditionally carts out on the links made frequent stops so getting too hot wasn't a concern. As I am new to these, without mashing the pedal, how long can one go before he should stop and let cart cool. I understand it is probably a judgement call based specifically on the ambient temp, speed etc., just curious if slow speeds one can say travel 10 miles without major concern. Finally, are most running their carts with the belly pans removed or leaving them on. I understand protection is needed but they also gather alot of garbage and restrict air flow. Thanks in advance.

When I had the stock engine in, I removed the "belly pans" for more air flow. We would drive a 5 mile loop all the time, never had an issue with heat. I never kept the gas pedal hammered down all the way for long. I also had the gov bypassed.

I used to drive around right below the rev limiter for probably an hour or more straight a lot of the time. Only slowing down for stop signs. Power loss was noticeable and after doing that for about 3 years the engine just blew.

I have a G2 also. No lift yet (this weekend) and gov by-passed. I push it pretty hard around my 14 acres here in HOT HUMID Florida without problems. My G2 has a rev limiter built into it but my ear has come to know where it is and I stay just below it, well most of the time, but I still push it pretty hard on 95 deg. days. Truth be known, I'm really looking for a reason to retrofit a Kohler 2 cycle 440 into it!
