Anything else to upgrade?
I have a 2006 club car precedent and I have upgraded to a alltrax 500 amp controller. I have replaced all cables with 2 gauge cables, and I have also upgraded to a HD solenoid. Is there anything else that is necessary to upgrade to handle this 500 amp controller? I have heard some things about upgrading the forward/reverse switch. Is this completely necessary or will the stock one be fine? thanks

Yes, you need a Heavy Duty FNR switch. you will burn a stock one up.

I have looked for a HD forward reverse switch but find switches only for the club car series carts. Mine is a regen club car precedent. Is there a need to upgrade for these carts or is this mainly for series carts? Again the only reason I asked is because i cant find very much on the regen club car precedent forward and reverse switches.

Since there has not been alot of activity on this thread, I furthered my search for an answer (The source was a site sponsor
 ). I found out that with Regen carts (IQ Precedent models) that a HD switch is not needed and that the 500 amp controller will be fine the the stock F&R switch. |
