spindle lift OR a arm lift for huntin' rig?
I am buiding my 1st Cart and its a 2001 CC ds 48v. I will be reducing the feral hog/coyote population here in SW Florida but I dont know which type of lift I should get. This rig will be 90% off road. Hogs root the ground up terribly and I need a suspension that has some "flex" to it. I think a long travel suspension is too expensive for me..I will running large tires, 22" to 25" ATV tires from craigslist. Any ideas on what ATV rims are compatable for a club car? I can get a new set of "take-offs" for 150 to $200, rims and tires. I believe I need a 4/4 pattern but not so sure of what offset I need. Any help would much apprciated, I would LOVE to get this right the 1st time! Thanks to you all, this site is awesome too!

Re: spindle lift OR a arm lift for huntin' rig?
There's a sticky at the top of the lifted cart section that lists a bunch of wheels that'll work on carts.
here's the link; http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...olf-carts.html Quite a few Polaris rears have a 4 on 4 pattern also. Hope that helps. |

Re: spindle lift OR a arm lift for huntin' rig?
You will not like the price, but LT is for offroad and you get what you pay for. You need travel to handle big bumps and only LT has that. You can mod your own, or adapt some atv suspensions/parts. Just saying if you want to bolt something on, only an LT is going to really work better. A lift with big tires will work much better than stock sure, but is still limited by stock parts in it.
Another issue is how you use it, if you go pretty slow you will be ok but the second you want to go faster offroad then you really need an LT or similar suspension that really works and has more travel. |

My dad's club car has a long travel kit on it, and it handles incredibly off-road. I've run it across rough terrain at speeds around 30 mph and sometimes faster. Get the long travel kit and make sure everything is installed correctly before going off-road, or you will regret it. Good luck on your efforts. |

this is the lift blackberry is talking about (he is my brother so its on our dads cart). i installed the lift two years ago and has been put through the ringer many time. it is a outstanding lift that handles the abuse great and rides even better. the difference between that lift and the cheaper ones is the fact that is uses upper and lower a-arms vs just extending the spindles. i have though about figuring out how to adapt that lift to a ezgo, i just cant explain just how nice of a lift it is |

Re: spindle lift OR a arm lift for huntin' rig?
The lifts with their own shocks tend to work nicer, as the stock ones don't have the right settings for longer travel. The cheaper LT lifts (dual a arm usually) do work better, you can use those and experiment with atv shocks some are said to work well on them....if that is all you want to budget.
