New guy wants to go BIG
Here is my plan All Sports lift 7.5" with 12X7 rims 25x10x12 dirt devil tires. Will this combo work? Will it be stable for offroading? This is my first build. after lift and tires I will be upgrading motor and controller, wires ect. I was thinking "the beast" GE motor and 650amp programable controller. Am I on the right track? 95 cc 48V I want to use it for hunting and offroading.
what da ya think? |

Re: New guy wants to go BIG
I like to upgrade the power plant first, if you are doing this in stages. Nothing worse than having all show and no go. The 25" tires will take alot more power to run......

Re: New guy wants to go BIG
In that case it won't matter what order you do it in. Seen alot of people want to go 'big' on the tires and wheels and then are short on $ to make the power upgrade needed to push it.

Re: New guy wants to go BIG
still hope to get some do's and don'ts with the build in regards to rim size, tire size, lift ,motor, controller ect. Will weight and size of rims and tires be a factor if I go with beast or stealth stalker motor? which motor is better? which contoller?

Re: New guy wants to go BIG
I have not used either one of those motors so hopefully someone who has will join in and tell you more. Depending upon what you need the cart to do, I like the 23" tires. The bigger the tire the higher your ground clearance will be but the more power it will take to turn them. So there are trade-offs...
