I apologize if this info is already out there. I searched through all
the topics but could not find this particular one. My question is, has anyone had any experience with this A arm lift kit? From what I've read, Jakes is top of the line, but for my needs I don't think I can justify the $. Any feed back is appreciated. Thanks, Chip http://golfcarttirestore.com/yl7gen22stl.htm |

Thanks very much. That does look good. For some reason I thought Jakes
Lifts were more expensive...must have been the long travel I was looking at. Thanks again, Chip |

I just got the Jake's 6" A arm lift kit. I hope to put it in this weekend.
Anyone know of any surprises I might run into during the install? Thanks, Chip |

The only thing I can think of is when you are knocking out the king pins, remember there is a roll pin the has to be knocked out first.

Also, i think with that lift, you will need to run 10" or larger rims right away, your old 8" wont fit if you were planning to go with knobbys later on.
Its because there is an aluminum steering spacer that goes on the steering spindle, to keep the steering geometry right and level, and 8" rims hit it. |

Well, you got that right. I already purchased 22 x 11 x 8 tires/rims and they
don't fit. They rub on the spacer block. Now what? Is is possible to put a spacer between the spindle and the rim. If so, I'm not even sure the lugs will be long enough.....can you buy longer ones? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chip |

Me again, I just found some spacers on ebay, but I'm not sure about them.
They appear to thread over the existing lugs and move the tire out 1 1/2". Anyone ever use these? Thanks again, Chip |

I seen those too but dont like them because all your weight and torque is on just the bolts. Here is somthing that would work a little better: 1/4" Spacer 1" Spacer 2" Spacer |
