Re: tires wont bead up
You can try wrapping a rope around the center tied in a loop and then take something and twist while putting the air to it. Taking the valve out helps too.. All else fails, auto shop. I had to do that with my last set. They had the right tools and still took them a while

Re: tires wont bead up
Some new and old tires can be tough to get the bead to seat... 30-35 psi is not uncommon for bead seating purposes.
I use "Black Magic" a slimy plastic and rubber rejuvenator for lube. I also use a 1" ratchet strap to pull the center down by looping it around the middle and cranking down a little. This forces the beads outward some more when air is applied. I remove the valve stem (as mentioned) and use a blow air nozzle. This nozzle is held over the valve to seal. The unrestricted inrush of air through a 3/4 hose at 125 psi with the strap & slime does it EVERYTIME. Good Luck |

Re: tires wont bead up
If you remove the valve stem to help seat the tire bead, how do you reinstall the valve stem? Can it be done from outside the wheel? Never seen that done before, but that don't mean diddly....

Re: tires wont bead up
There is a stem assembly (core) inside the stem.
A $4 tool is needed like > http://www.powersportsplace.com/part...FYN_QgodAmwA9Q See pic below |

Re: tires wont bead up
The tire is too narrow for the wheel.
7-8" tire requires a 6" wheel. 10-11" wide tire fits better on a 7" wheel. |

Re: tires wont bead up
You just unscrew the core G, not the whole stem.

Re: tires wont bead up
I can tell you a sure FIRE way to do it but it's dangerous if you do it wrong and the staff at the emergency room would really give you a hard time if you did this and got hurt.
