Default carryall project

so i kinda stated this in the introduction thread but need advice and help so ill make a build thread here. i was gived some golf carts from my grandpa, my dumbass uncle wrecked them so my grandpa just bought a new one then kicked him off everything else. so i have two carts the flat bed (1996) and the one with the box and lift (1991) my plan as of now is strip clean and get the flat bed running. then swap the boxes so it can have a dump box and not the flat bed then put my new front body piece on. during the process thinking about a lift. i kinda wanna use the old lift off the 91 but i really really want long travel. i want real upgrades. not bashing guys who do a spindle lift its just i have done my fair of jakes 3in lifts, i want more now kinda want it to stay looking like a cart is why i may go with a jakes lt but also trying to get info on terra. not sure yet anyway wanna keep the stock engine because my grandpa replaced it with a new cc engine a year or two ago so i think it could be a nice platform for now. the story is he replaced it then just parked everything out of frustration. then bought the lifted ezgo electric. also while i am asking questions i need three link info ugh i have looked everywhere and am still at a loss i really dont want to just block up the rear for lift.....finally for the not so great pics

flat bed serial number

and just incase there are any motorcycle guys this is what i normally use a project but its about finished

been reading a lot and thinking about doing something like this

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...ar-3-link.html

but can i use coil overs instead of the air shocks and then use links instead of the mono leafs? i want to do long arm up front and i think it would be cool to have the rear match the front

Hey been working on the cart quick question. What is the black plastic flap thing rivited in place under the drivers side front wheel well? I'm trying to for the most part strip the frame for cleaning but not sure if I should remove it or let it be.....I know some things will stay on but I want it as stripped as possible I want this thing clean ;)

I'm not sure about a black plastic "flap" thing, nor am I very familiar with Carryall's, or even a 96/97 gasser for that matter,
but, if it looks like this, (from my 07 DS) it's an air intake extension to the air box. I'd leave it on and clean around it!

yeah/no?

hmmm thats not t but after a lot i mean a LOT of google images lol i figured out its just a flap to protect the wiring for the horn button and all. i can remove it ill just have to rivet it back in place. ugh its so freeking dirty no pics to show but got the bed off the front plastic and bumper and wheels off so far. next is start working on the pedal which is locked up. locked up pedal and no battery ugh no wonder it wont turn over haha it will be slow but im going over everything i want it as clean as i can get it before putting the lift and all on. hey also why the heck is the passenger side hip restraint always bent on those years?

also if anyone is in my area and needs them ill have some spare parts soon building up the 96 and parting the 91 ill have two used front plastics i wont do anything with seeing as i had a new one given to me

will do...the problem is im currently moving and they are at my new house that im in the middle of renevating so i can rarely work on them...i think ill go out monday and get some pics right now very little is done and money is tight but once im moved(end of january) progress should speed up a lot. i though carts cost a lot ugh try remodeling a bathroom. i spend money on freeking tile and as i lay it im thinking ugh this could have been a vanguard 23hp kit oh well it will be a slow build but i hope the detail work and major cleaning will pay off

ok so been doing some planning and what i think im going to do is replace the snubber with a heim joint set up then chop down the two leaf springs and use them as the links or would it be that much better to make the links and the mounts in the front? as for shocks im thinking of doing some coilovers but im having a coupe problems...first off does the snubber replacement have to be exact? im afraid replaceing it will mess up motor placement or angle, do i need a pan hard bar and last...what shocks should i look into

was looking into something like this but they are almost 30in long i feel like it too much
