Default Need help picking best wheel / tire size

Guys,

i'm going to use my current wheels and tires on another cart of mine. Now for the cart in my signature i want to buy radial tires and steel wheels. I have no power issues so going bigger is not a problem. However, i need a stable cart as i run it in Ohio where its hill country. Currently, on hill sides i get alot of leaning so i don't want to move toward less stable tires than i am now. So my question is what size tire do you recommend for my lift and what width tire should i chose front and rear? One thing i have noticed is that some tires are made for heavier UTV's (heavier vehicles) which may help as the tires i have currently have somewhat weak sidewalls maybe contributing to some of my leaning issues but not sure. Thoughts?

thank you

I would go with something that is "tried and true" from an atv or like you mentioned from a utv. I went with the 489 tires. These come stock on most full size polaris atv and some utv's. They have different ply ratings and all kinds of sizes. I went with 23x7x10 on front and 22x11x10 in rear, whatever the factory sizes were for the polaris scrambler. I like the look of the skinnies in the front. I looked high and low for something that was good in mud but didn't skake and shimmy on road. I remembered riding a friends Polaris 500 Sportsman and at 55mph on the road it was smooth as glass, and it always got great traction in the soft stuff. As soon as I got them I drove 25 mph down the road and it handles sweet. No sidewall flex either. Have them aired up to about 9 lbs. Love them. 489's are my recommendation.

You can find them anywhere.
