Default Need ur cart brand opinion.

So I went into a cart dealer here in West Texas today and discussed some problems I've discovered on my ride( some extensive rust on battery frame and main frame itself, both of which are going to require some fabrication.) I mentioned converting to 48v or buy a new gas cart. The guy in the shop told me to stay away from EZGO, and stated Yamaha was the king. Is this just personal preference? I see that EZGO is the most popular cart on here.

Clinter35,

Welcome to BGW

To answer your question, Yes, that was just his opinion. Just like Ford, Dodge, Chevy etc.. Everyone like their brand for whatever reason. I am an EZ-Go guy myself but have no issues with the other makes, I just get deals on EZ-Go parts

Unless you just don't like your cart, fix it. You can either fix the battery tray, buy a new one or build one to hold the 8 6 volts you want in there. As for the frame, it can probably be welded.

What ever you decide, we can help

Thanks a lot for the info, I really didn't want to get rid of it. Getting cold here in W Texas so looks I will be tearing it down soon for a total refurb. Pics will come.

Cold? Did the thermometer drop to a crisp, nippy 75?
