Default custom brush guards....

I am still in the planning stages of my 95' ezgo txt to hunting buggy build. Looked a many factory or pre-built brush guards, but really have not found anything that jumps out at me or unique enough. ( Like to be different) Also don't like how most mount. Looks like most mount over the sun roof brackets on the side front of the cart. Any one see a spot a brush guard can be mounted on the front? Looked briefly, but didn't see an easy way to mount something on the front! Any one do this? Got any pics? THX!!

Well I will be making one...that is because the ones they sell are more like a brush guard than a bumper. And I need a strong tough bumper in case I hit something. Right now I am building a tube bender to it isn't to hard but I might not use brackets to put it on.. I might just weld it straight to the frame but i still have to look and think about it. I'll let you know if I see any... Otherwise I'd just build one

The biggest downfall on an Ez-Go is the lack of frame-work in the front. The front-suspension mounts to the front of the frame at the floor-boards,then the floor goes up into the dash-area,but there isn't really any frame up there. There isn't much to attach to that will have any strength.Yamis' and ClubCars have frames in the front, making mounting much stronger and easier.

Don't build anything you can't remove. Sure as shootin', as soon as you weld it up, you'll have to cut it off to fix something else. The mount for the roof strut is extremely strong and makes an excellent attachment point. Given what I used to do with my cart, I can attest to that.

I custom built mine and I actually attached it to the suspension. I have an allsports long travel.

A local offroad shop built this for me for cheaper than buying an aftermarket guard. It's attached to a plate they used to weld across the frame. It is solid, I can lift the cart with it. I added a couple high output LED offroad lights.

My reasoning for this design, other than the awesome Baja look of the stinger bar, was for the stinger bar to push branches and limbs down then run over them. I use my cart for hunting and have a lot of narrow trails where thin limbs hang over. They would always slap the mess out of me. So I got them to build this one and it does as I hoped. I've been really happy with it. The shop built, painted, and mounted for under $200. That's cheaper than a lot of the aftermarket brush guards. And this one is made from 2" tube and welded solid. Any aftermarket part would be really thinned walled. The shop builds rock crawlers, so I knew they would build me quality.
