Tire selection?
Hello,
I have a 94 electric CC Ds upgraded to 48 volts with purple PQ motor, 500 amp alltrax controller. I have just recently bought a Allsport supersport 6" lift (not installed yet) and now need new tire and rims to put on it. I like the InterCo swamp lite tires and was thinking about getting 22-8-10 in front and 22-11-10 in back and they weigh 14 and 23 pounds, respectively. My question is will my motor be able to handle these tires as far as torque and battery life? Thanks, Zach |

Re: Tire selection?
I have a very similar cart and i can tell you mine has PLENTY of power to handle my 23x10x10 swamp fox. Now i'm giving my tires to a friend and want new ones as well (just want to try something different). I think this time though i'm going to try radials and go with a tire with heavier side walls designed for UTV's. The reason is that the swamp fox is a ATV tire and has alot of side wall flex (on side hills) unless you really jack up the weight to 9-10lbs but then they ride ruff. Not sure but i'm thinking a radial running at 4lbs (correct sidewall stiffness for UTV's) should ride better and perform better.

Re: Tire selection?
Thanks for the info sawtooth. Main reason I'm considering the swamp lites is the price. I can't afford to spend too much more on tires right now but need some for the lift. What is the width of your rim you have with those tires?
