what size tires
Anyone running 25x8x12 on front and 25x10x12 on back? This cart is primarily used for hunting and ocassionaly around the house. No subdivision so im not really concerned with wear and tear on pavement. Im thinking about going with the kenda bear claw unless someone knows a lighter tire. I already have the 12" rim. I cant really find and 24' tires for a 12" rim

Re: what size tires
I'd put the same width on the front and back. That way you can rotate them from time to time.

He liked that the front were narrower and liked how it steered easier. A few carts before that, I had a guy that wanted me to build him a cart with tall narrow tires. He wanted the traction but with less rolling resistance. It looked a little different than the fat tires, but drove really good. |

Re: what size tires
That is how I run my tires, 8" up front and 12" in back. I like the look of it better than the fat tires up front, steers easier too. Drove a buddies with fat fronts and mine steers easier.

Re: what size tires
8's on the front will definately steer better, but I put 10's on all the way around.

Re: what size tires
I built the cart in the pics above for a guy and was actually not sold on the look. After driving it, it is really the best of both worlds. It has plenty of traction, steers great and has less 'foot print' for less rolling resistance. These were AT-489 tires 24x8x12's. Them being narrower helps with clearance around the brake lever, too.

Re: what size tires
I have 23x10.5x12 inch tires on the cart now. I dont see why the cart wouldnt clear 25" tires. Im pretty sure it is a 6" jakes spindle lift on the cart.
