Interesting...Not saying you are wrong but who or better yet what determines the factors designating a long travel lift? It doesn't even have to be lifted to be a long travel. All you have to have is "More travel" than stock to be able to say it's a long travel. There is no standard to determine what a long travel is. I don't think All Sports would blatantly falsify the description of a product but like I said....what determines the classification of "Long travel"? I have never heard anyone claim what you are saying. Either way, It says long travel on the box so thats what I'm calling it.

I can lift my ezgo with blocks and say it is a long travel....why!..Because it has more travel than stock. (Just sayin, although I wouldn't do that.)

The All-Sports doesnt stick your front tires outside the body like the Strech or Terra Toys which is why I like it, not whether or not its a true long travel. The front wheels would get cleaned off by trees on the trails with the previously mentioned kits. Do any members here have the All-Sports on a ClubCar?

Actully with 6" of wheel travel compared to about 2" travel on a stock cart how do you see this as "not a long travel" ???? The Stretch Plastics lift does have 8" of travel however it is only a 6" lift kit. The only way for that math to work is stick the tires on the outside of the body (otherwise when compressed the tire would be 2" above the body) Thats where the added width comes in making the front 13" wider than stock width. are you confusing travel with wheelbase? Yes we sell both brands and each has its strong points. I know most love the ride on the Stretch lift but I have had some customers complain about the larger turning radius. I don't get these complaints on the allsports lift and the ride is comparable. But in the end it is the cart owner that determines which is the right lift for him or her.

Don't you sell both lifts Tom? I thought I saw the stretch on CPP right beside the Allsports lift.

I understand what FiveFlat is saying...Roady you eluded to it! If in fact is a true "long travel"...then how do they do it! I'm in agreement, if it sais "long travel" on it and it rides smooth...I'm all in!
I want "long travel" to mean long travel...whatever the definition may be!...I don' really know. Looks wise, I love the Stretch or the Terra, I think the bottom mounted shock (Stetch) and Allsports is a better design. However, practicallity wise, the Allpsorts looks almost equally cool, well built, and your steering radius only improves (huge!! in my book). I want smooth, ride down the dirt road with your favorite beverage in the cupholder and not getting showered with it!....It's a good thing my stereo is submarine grade. LOL. Proof lies within this forum, I want the weekend warrior, family friendly, smooth, BA looking long travel and that's it.

That fact that it doesn't extend the front track is a big plus to me. We have such a tight fit in our toy hauler that long travel has always been out of the question for my cart. This one sounds like a winner.

I read the Stretch has 9.5" of travel and it is a 8" lift...on a CC anyway.

Lift aside, long travel is based on amount the front wheels can move up or down. If you don't widen the track you simply can't get the same travel, unless you lift it really high, but then you have to start discussing the application you are going to use your cart for. I have had my cart in a position where if I had that Allsports the tires would have definately rubbed the body.
Look at any Rhino suspension kit... They have +3" mid travel kits and +6" long travel kits. Granted the wheels can travel more than stock with this allsports kits, but I would hardly call it long travel.
Like I said anyway - I'm not saying anything good or bad about it, I'm just saying I wouldn't call it a long travel kit. I'm not saying they are blatantly falsifying their marketing technique or whatever either. I'm just saying that "I" wouldn't call it a long travel kit. I would call it a IFS kit.

Have you looked closely at the allsports lift? The pivot point for the A-Arms is almost in the middle of the frame, the stretch pivot points are further outward. If 2 long travels have the same length a-arms and the only difference is the position of the pivot point, one in the middle, the other further outward.. BOTH of them will have the same amount of travel but the one with the pivot points further out (like the stretch) will only have a wider track, not more travel........
