Allsports Longtravel lift kit for EZGO golf carsfrom Cart Parts PlusAfter several weeks of looking at EZGO lift kits the Allsports Longtravel lift kit is the one I decided to go with for my Vanguard powered Big Block E-Z-GO build. There were many things I looked at such as quality, ease of install, turning radius and price. The All Sports lift was everything I wanted and more without breaking the bank. I would like to point out one major difference between the All Sports lift and others like a Stretch is the front track width. The All Sports front track is the same as the rear. The Stretch front track is wider than the rear. A wider front track tends to have a larger turning radius......now for some applications that is fine, like sand dunes but it doesn't fit my application.....that and I would like to be able to load the cart in my small trailer so I can haul it. I can't haul carts with a wider front track on my little trailer and I doubt it will fit in my truck bed. First thing I looked at was the welds....I am a 3rd generation welder by trade and have been doing it since I was a kid. I have even won a contest for welding the prettiest bead.....enough about me. The welds look fine. No crappy welds like some other kits I have seen and the steel is of good quality. Best I can tell is the tubing is DOM which is a far better building material than just regular tubing. IMO the welds ARE far superior to welds on other golf car kits the market is flooded with. The All Sports Long Travel lift kit comes complete with everything needed to lift the front and rear....its a whole long travel suspension system. The Allsports EZGO long travel lift kit comes partially assembled. The bolts are left loose so they will have to be tightend during install. It even comes with a steering column. That was an added bonus for me because I did not have a steering column at all. (Big A+ Comes complete with column, bearings and the steering shaft. A total value of at least $120) This lift is listed on CPP for $679.00. That is almost $120 less than the stretch lift. All Sports Lifts Front Suspension![]() Another shot of the E-Z-GO lift kit![]() Infinite Adjustable Coil-Over ShocksThe Shocks are reeeeal nice. IMO Far Superior than Jakes and a few others. The Allsports coil over shocks are constructed of Billet Aluminum. ![]() ![]() It comes with Rack and Pinion steeringcarved out of billet aluminum.![]() Even has Billet steering jointsand a custom steering shaft with high quality universals.![]() The new EZGO Steering column![]() All the major components of the All Sports EZGO Long Travel lift kit![]() All Sports Lift Kits is the manufacturer. They do not sell to the public. If you would like to purchase an All Sports Lift or any other product the produce you can purchase them from Cart Parts Plus. I do not know any other site sponsor who sells these high quality long travel lift kits. |

Cool, I can't wait to see how it rides. They claim a smooth ride with zero bump steer.

Oh yea, defineately. I am building some custom axle tubes right now. As soon as the material shows up and I get them completed I can start building. I have been gathering parts, having machine work done over the past few months. For this build I decided to do it all the way I wanted all at once instead of building-rebuilding many times. |

Can't wait to hear how the lift works. I wanted to install an "A" arm lift when I was re-building my cart but was aready over budget with the big block install. If this lift gets good reviews then that might be the next upgrade this winter.

If things go as planned I should start the build within the next 2 weeks. I will be sure and post plenty of pictures and my thoughts on these components. This is my first Big Block build and I'm getting exited but I know if I don't take my time and do it the way I want it I won't be happy with the results.

My local ClubCar dealer has sold them all ,but only sells the All-Sports now because of its quality. If I new then what I know now ,I would have bought the 6" long travel too. I still might remove the Jakes spindles and put them on e-bay so I can get this suspension. If its OK for a guy that welds for a living then its OK with me.

Nice post. Excellent review too!
But without extending the track - it is NOT a long travel kit. It's simply an IFS kit. Not saying anything bad or good about it, just clarifying what long travel usually means... |
