I went trailling with some friends on saterday night, and here's what happined.
One of my friends had both rear leaf spings snap in half. This went down at 1am after my friend birthday party. 10min after this happined my other friend rolled his clubcar on the same trail. Not a good night. This was a 6" lift. Last edited by jus_crzn; 08-25-2008 at 03:33 AM. Reason: more info |

They snapped because your golf cart still has the STOCK leafsprings. You should replace the busted springs with heavy duty 4 leaf springs. Any vehicle with a rear seat kit (lifted or not) needs HD rear leafs. The fact that it is also lifted was only a matter of time before this happened.

Wow, that is not something you see every day
Yea, hd rear spings are a must for any cart that has a rear seat kit on it. |

On the 3rd picture (top-right), it almost looks like the nuts are missing? You can even see the bolt threads between the plates like its seperating... If thats the case, and not really sure it is, maybe it was chattering or stressed enough enough to snap the leafs?

I checked on my cart, there are no missing nuts. The plates that those bolts go thru have a nut welded to them as part of the jakes kit. I did do a double take.
This cart is driven like its stollen every weekend. It has also been rolled once. Last edited by jus_crzn; 08-26-2008 at 10:57 AM. Reason: new info |
