Default Ever get bored with your carts?

Ok guys, I need some help. I'm thinking of parting with my motorcycle in order to help with building a cart. I used to ride a lot but barely get on two wheels in the last year or so. Since the wife and I are leaving the city for the country life I figured it may be time for the cart life

So i've been debating whether or not to go this route or not. If I can get as much time and enjoyment with the cart as I do/did with the bike then it wil be worth it. I've only got 3 acres of property to ride on but i'm sure there's areas around there to do some off roading.

Either way I will be getting a cart, it's just a matter of when and how quick I will be able to start modding it. If I sell the bike, I can purchase the cart quicker and start modding. If I keep the bike the mods may come a little later. I know i'm the only one who can make this decisions, just wondering if others have made sacrifices for cart and not regretted it.

Take your time with modding the cart - that is more valuable time than riding it

A couple months ago I traded my bike for my cart and some cash. I was the same way, just didn't ride as much and wanted something me and the kid could play with.

I only have 2.8 acres and I ride mine all over it! You'll love it! Yeah, you can mod the heck out of it, but really, don't go crazy. Go with the basics first, a lift and a set of wheels. That'll help you off road. Then you can paint it. Then.....well, the options are endless!

That's a tough choice, Joe. I did the same thing a few years ago with my bass boat. Didn't use it much and so I sold it and bought one of my bikes. Though I do kinda miss it, I really enjoy the bike. And a man can always buy another later.

iKAB, where you at in Iowa? I'm from Iowa originally.

Taking the time to plan the mods is one thing, taking the time to start modding is ongoing issue I've been working on If having a cart is anything like having a bike or a boat, i'd rather spend more time riding than wrenching.

Sounds like no regrets on your end.

No family yet...well a wife but I highly doubt she'll be tagging along.

Won't be going to crazy...at least not in the beginning. I'd like to go with that will clear 25-27" tires, hopefully I get one with a nice engine so I don't have to do a big block swap right away. Followed by stereo, paint, etc.

Yea, I haven't been out on the water in over a month. I sold the 23' Key Largo while ago and put the money towards the new home but I don't think I could sell the 17' Mako Classic. I guess it's the one thing the wife and I can enjoy together with the dogs, not to mention once we have kids. Hoping to get the same result with the cart.

I'd say my family enjoys the buggy more than other toys. My buggy hauls ever thing from dirt and limbs to people and coolers.
