Default ring & pinion gear set

I used a harley davidson 3 wheel cart rear end for my project . a 250 honda recon motor , it is geared to low 12 to 1 i was told i have a dana rear end. my question does anyone know where i may be able to get a higher ring & pinion gear to fit the harley rear end or any thing that will interchange

The gear sets are fairly expensive for the standard EZGO, Club Car carts. I would imagine trying to find one for a less common cart would be more problematic.

The input to the rear diff, is it chain and sprocket or shaft? If it is chain and sprocket then I'd try reducing the size of the rear sprocket you are using on the rear diff. That would increase your speed.

Its shaft drive,though of taller tires don't know much that will help.

taller tires will help some. When I ran the numbers, going to taller tires should gain me about 2.8 mph. There is a speed calculator on this site. I think this is the link you want:
