Default Wire length too short after lift

I just finished lifting my yamaha drive with a jakes 3" lift. As I was cleaning up (haven't even tried to drive yet......too late and too tired) I noticed the wire coming off the side of my motor (hitachi for 48v) was disconnected at the connector and is not long enough to reconnect. After searching I read that it is the speed controller wire?? Does that sound right. I'm guessing it disconnected during my installation.

Anyone lifted a yamaha drive and had a wire length issue like this? It's a new cart and I assume I need to get it back together somehow either extension or splice.

You just have to re route that wire a little bit. Plenty of length there even for the six inch lift.

Thanks, I was pretty tired when I gave out last night. It was easily rerouted this morning and does have plenty of slack like you said.
