Default Lifting a G14

So, I bought a Yamaha G14 last fall. I just ordered Jakes 7" double A-Arm lift, 10x7 Storm Trooper Golf Cart Wheel and All Terrain Sahara Classic Tires, and a light kit for it. I have taken the body off the cart and am going to paint it (not sure what color yet) and put it back together. I'm going to see how I like it w/o the fender flares, but I suspect I'll add them. The only other thing I need to get is the flip-flop rear seat.

Have any of you re-covered your seats? I can't imagine it is that hard to take it apart and put some new vinyl on it. Also need to know any pit-falls to installing the lift kit. Who has installed this and how hard was it?

The starting point:

Thanks...

As far as the lift goes, I'm betting it comes with pretty good instructions. I had a Jake's lift and it came with all the parts needed and instructions with pics. Jake's also has a good customer service number you can call if you run into trouble, although if you have decent mechanical skills you shouldn't have any issues. Use lots of penetrating oil, spray all the fasteners the day before so it'll have time to soak in. Keep a torch handy to heat up anything that is frozen with rust. Jack stands and a spotter nearby, just in case. You should be fine.

The seats....make sure you use good foam if you need to replace what's there. Also, marine grade vinyl is the only stuff to use, anything else will fade and crack. Use youtube and you'll find lots there for a visual. If the cushions are pretty much square edges you shouldn't have any trouble, although it is difficult to get it "perfect" your first go at it.

Post lots of pics!

The lift wheels and tires are on! Everything went pretty smoothly with the exception of the King Pins. Wholly crap they did NOT want to come out. I drove out the roll-pins with no issues and thought I'd be fine. I had a youtube video showing me exactly what to do. When they popped the roll-pins out they just stuck the punch in and wiggled the king pins out. Well...that was not the case for me at all. I beat them, heated the with a torch and beat them some more. Was not fun...

Anyways, below are some of the pictures. I didn't realize I did not get a picture of it when the front was done. I just dropped it off to have the carburator fixed. I tuned it up, but it wouldn't run for crap w/o pulling the choke. I'm working on the body while it is gone. More pics to come when I get it back.

I'll post the front when I get it back from the shop. Thought I'd taken the pics, but apparently not yet...

All done. Lift, lights, paint. The only thing left to do is a re-cover of the seats. Let me know what you think:

They are SS wheels. I bought them off of eBay. I thought $450 including lug nuts and center caps with free delivery was a great deal.
