Default Seat Covers

No responses in the club car section, maybe somebody here can help me out. I have a club car precedent and im just wondering if anyone has used staple on vinyl seat covers and how they like them. Do they fit nice and snug or can you tell they are just seat covers and not the actual seat.

I think if you order "seat covers" from somewhere they send you the same material that is used on the stock seat (or something very similar). You just remove the stock vinyl and stretch and staple the new one on in it's place. It will look just like the stock seat in terms of fit.

I assume you are talking about something like this?

If you are going to recover your seats you can save some money by buying a yard or two of marine vinyl from Jo-Ann Fabrics and doing it yourself. I did the seats (top and bottom) on my cart that way. No prior upholstery experience in my background.

Put it right over existing. More snug that way

They fit nice and snug, but there is a little bit of playing around to get all the wrinkles out. But with a little patients, you can make them look/fit much better than factory seat covers.

Here is a picture of my store purchased staple on covers.....

Also, if you look in the Design Center, you will see a sticky thread with some helpful pointers.

Lay them out in the sun for a while before installing or use a heat gun
