Default newby help with prodject

i have a cart that i am lifting any and all help is appreciated . the motor is blown i have a 15 horse honda with electric start that i am going to install the question i have can i still have reverse . the rear end has a lever that can be switched back and fourth will this make it work. the motor was a suzuki. i am new to golf carts but willing to learn . thanks

What kind of cart? If it was a 4 stroke cart then the reverse is built into the transmission. If you have a forward, neutral, reverse lever, then you should be good to go.

For this type of project, you might want to post in the "big block" section. Just a thought.

Ok thanks it has a forward and reverse handle . It was a four stroke and it is a hyndai

Very similar to the Yamaha G2/G9 suspension.

Right a 4 stroke cart will have reverse in the trans, you can leave it hooked up like it is.

Got motor hooked up put in oil gave a little gas two cranks nice little rumble . Gave it time to warm up . Everything worked well shifted into reverse and Walla reverse . Now to find the right tires and rims what are you all running that works on 2 7/8 hole center to center

Normal GC wheels are 4/4, or 4 bolt on 4" circle.

Measure between the center of opposite studs.

The only atv wheels that pattern are some polaris rears, but you can get douglas wheels in that pattern or adapters as well as all the golf cart wheels.
