Default What does replacing IQ motor do for hunting cart?

Still looking for an old cart to rebuild or buy one already built. Latest opportunity is a Club Car DS IQ (not series), but the motor has been replaced with D&D motor, getting rid of the regen function.

Is the cart now the same as a series? If not, what's the difference? Other mods made to it too, but am mainly curious about this one.

I searched the forums and didn't find a direct answer to this other than to say you don't want the IQ regen motor for a hunting cart. Ok, this one doesn't, does that mean it's OK?

Maybe the reason I did't find an answer is that no one knows. Lots of views, but no ideas. I appreciate everyone looking, though. Will keep doing some 'net research to try to figure it out.

I would look up your motor by it's numbers to see what you have. The PO may have converted the cart to series drive. If this is the case, it will also have a series controller.

Motor says 5022 on it. Supposedly it corresponds to the 170-502-0002 on the D&D website. Thanks.
