Default Yamaha G9 8" lift

Well We started to install the 8" lift on our Yamaha.I have ran a homemade 4" lift on her when I swapped in the HF clone engine a couple years ago.
The old tires finally gave up the ghost so I had to get some new ones.I ended up widening some steel wheels and changing the offset. We ordered new tires and installed them.So Now it was time to get the lift made and installed.
we are running 24x11-10 tires on 10" rims with 3" backspacing.
Now here is some pics for your viewing entertainment
Here is the rear tire installed with the original 4" lift just for giggles.

I decided to lower the swingarm 4" at the front and kick it back around an 1/2" to 1"

Here is my son starting to strip down the front end.

Here the rear is almost done except for the shocks being mounted.I was going to run a set of motorcycle shocks I got but they seem to have less spring rate.So I am going to keep the originals and change the mounting position.

Good job. I fabbed a 9 1/2" lift for my G2 and I'm running 24" tires. I love the combo. Good job on the front engine cradle drop and reinforcement.

I didn't make a thread. My camera was broken when I did it and I only had a certain amount of time to get it done so I didn't stop to take any cell phone pics. I think my buddy has a couple of me making it and during process.
