Question How to I.D. my lift kit to size tires

I have a 2005 EZGO with a lift kit and currently has 20x11-10 Carlisle Trail Wolf tires. I need to get new tires and want to know what size the lift kit is so I can get appropriate tires. Is there any way to measure the lift, and if so, where do I do it? I already looked all over the suspension gear and only found a couple of part numbers, no brand or other info of any kind. It has a drop axle lift, but that's all I know. Some help would be kickass as I like the tires it has on it now, but wouldn't mind something a little bigger. Seems to have clearance for larger, but don't know exactly how much larger. Thanks, Todd

I bet if you posted a photo of it, we could collectively identify it in minutes.

How about measuring the rear blocks? Seems like that would be nearly a sure fire method to identify the lift.

That said - mine came lifted, so I have no idea how the rear lift is done.

Just thinking out loud here..

If it doesn't have any markings it is probably the OEM drop axle lift which is 4 inches.

OK, took some pics. I don't see any blocks in the rear, thinking maybe it is a stock lift? That would make sense as there are no identifying marks or manufacturer info anywhere. I didn't know that EZGO did that, as I don't know anything about golf carts in general because I have never owned one before. Let me know if you guys need more pics. Thanks in advance, Todd

For the front, that should be easy to determine the lift.

^^^
That's how the stock front beam looks. Notice how the spindle mounts are directly in line with the center of the front beam. Now look at yours Notice how yours are dropped down a bit? You could measure the distance from the center of the beam to the spindle on your wheels - that would be the 'lift' imposed by the lift kit. You could lay a ruler on top of the beam, measure down to the spindle, and minus 1/2 the thickness of that beam. That should give you a rough estimate.

The rear could be a heavy duty spring to support that rear set. Maybe post some photos of the rear end. That may help.

I'm kind of new here too, so I'm just going by what seems to make sense based on my cart. :)

That looks like a standard 4 inch factory lift. The rear should be sitting on perches sitting on the axle tube.

OK, here's some pics of the rear and I did measure the front drop and it looks like 3" from the center of the spindle to the center of the axle beam. It is kind of hard to tell from the pics, but there aren't any blocks. There are some shackles, are those stock or would that be part of the rear lift? They are 4" end to end, but probably about 3" bolt to bolt (although I did not measure and my cart is at my work right now, will have it back at my place tomorrow and will measure if need be). kgsc, you were talking about a 4" factory lift, are there 3" factory lifts too? Maybe I should talk with EZGO to confirm? Please enlighten me.
