dumb Newbie question
Ok dont hate me for askin but I am confused I am putting a Jakes 6252 6" lift kit on my 1998 Yamaha Gas G11A Utility cart they say to use a 22x11x10 tire with a 10x7 rim with a 3x5 offset I was given 4 22x10x10 brand new trail wolf tires and there is only a small selection of 3x5 offset wheels, what does the 3x5 offset mean I want chrome or aluminum wheels but do not want to spend a fortune and are all the 4 lug patterns the same do i need spacers PLEASE HELP

Re: dumb Newbie question
A 3x5 offset has to be 8" wide, not 7 (3+5= 8 ).. a 10x8 is probably the most common aftermarket rim out there and will work with both tire sizes you listed..
The 3x5 offset means there is 3" on the backside of the rim, which is called backspacing and 5" on the front. The measurement is taken from the flat mounting plate on the rim to the outside egde of the rim. The lower the number on the backspacing, the more the tire will stick out. Cuz |

Re: dumb Newbie question
I'd say the 10x7" rim is the most common, but 8 or 7" will work. http://gatewaytire.com/page0002.htm the 036-98 and 036-99 are about the cheapest cast machined wheels. |
