Default YamahaG9 4" Lift, Tire and wheel question

Hi, This is my first post, so bare with me... I have a Yamaha G9 with a 4" lift, and I think it has 9 inch wheels...I just had a flat tire that can't be fixed, and I'm in the process of looking for new tires. I am wanting to put 20x10-9 tires on it...Do I need wheel spacers, or offset wheels...My golf cart still has stock wheels on it...Will 20x10-9 tires work on my stock wheels without rubbing or any problems? Someone please help me get back to riding my cart again...I haven't had it very long and haven't got to ride it as much as i would have liked. Thanks so much for everyone's time!!

Default Re: YamahaG9 4" Lift, Tire and wheel question

I have 22x11-8 on mine and the tires rub a little on the inside, but on 3+5 wheels. That is 3 inside and 5 outside offset. Stock is 3.5/3.5. So I would be careful about width on stock rims, except I never saw stock 9" rims on a cart they are all 8" and 7" wide. The offset wheels are better because they make the cart more stable though most are 7 wide unlike my 8" wide douglas wheels. If I bought now I would get 10-12" wheels most likely, on trails I ride I want some tire under there and price is nicer. They clear any lift also. I know 20x8-8 will work on stock wheels usually. Your old tires should state size, if you need to measure the size is inside the bead not the outer rim of the wheel. It will be smaller diameter than the outside rim edge.
