Newbie EZGO opinions
Getting my first cart, a 2002 EZGO gas. There are a bunch of options, but want what is tried and true! This will be a mainly street/gravel road cart, very little if any off road! Gonna lift for show, just looks cooler!
10" vs 12" wheels???? Will 12" wheels handle that much better or really not noticeable? Lift? whats the most practical lift for 22"or 23" tires? will a spindle lift be just fine or is a drop axle the way to go? 4" or 6"? Appreciate the help guys! thanks! |

Re: Newbie EZGO opinions
Everyone one will have their opinion on these questions, for me I like 23x12 wheels and tires over 22x10s and a 5 or 6" lift. The spindle verses dropped axle lift is a toss up for me. I don't like the looks of spindle arm extensions on a dropped axle and ST spindles are 150 bucks a pair (no extensions needed). The 6" spindle lift looks good and easier to install, also brings the front wheels forward a bit more, Jake's the man on them.

Re: Newbie EZGO opinions
I have almost always used the OEM 4 inch drop axle lift and have no complaints. I have run 22 and 23 inch tires with both 10 and 12 inch wheels. I do know my brother's cart is using a 6 inch spindle lift on his and it killed his turning radius.. I contacted the mfg and they told me they do it on purpose to keep people from turning too sharply and flipping the cart. My response was if you turn the wheel to a lock at speed, you deserve to flip.. cut some notches in the axle and it turns like it should now..
