500cc 4-link 4x4
Here goes,
I was given a Suzuki 500 Vinson 4x4. It was crashed head-on with another 4wheeler and the frame was bent pretty bad. Then i found a set of plastics and seat in a dumpster, Ez-Go front and I think A Club Car rear. So then I decided I wanted a 4x4 cart. Now I can't have just a lifted cart, or a 4x4 cart. I need a big and bad lifted 4x4 cart . So then I started looking for Samurai axles. Well guess what..........my good friend that gave me the Vinson says he has a set. I ask how much ? he says you can have em! So now I have nice plastics, a good running 500cc with 4x4 case and a set of Sami axles, all for $0.00 $75 worth of steel and this is what I have so far. 2003 ithink, Vinson Front and rear for sale |

Re: 500cc 4-link 4x4
Things really just fell into place for this build. :)
I'm ready to set up ride height and start figuring 4link geometry. I need to decide on a tire size. Do y'all think a 33" tire @ 45lbs is gonna be too much for the 500cc ? The Vinson came with 3.60 diff gears and the Sami has 4.10. I was thinking about getting 4.56 gears for the axles and run the 33s. OR go with the 31s instead? |

Re: 500cc 4-link 4x4
I'd go with the stock 4.10 and 31's or 4.56's and 33's

I guess its the same difference. lol
So do you think the motor has the power to turn these? Everything i read about the Vinson 500 says it make great torque. |

I think you should have spent $150.00 on tubing and got the next bigger size. That looks like 3/4 to me, good luck with frame flex.

Re: 500cc 4-link 4x4
The top is 3/4 and the lower is 1"x0.120"
I started with the 1" and it got heavy real fast. So I did the upper rails with the 3/4". |
