Default Where do I start

I have a09 ezgo, speed chip, spindle lift, 12" wheels 20" tires. 0 gauge welding wire.

I was to turn thins into hunting off road capable cart. I want independent front suspension, more power/torque . What/where do I go from here. I'm handy so I can do a lot of the bolt on bolt off stuff myself.

Want power to climb with a couple of guys and deer /pigs. And to have fun off roading playing in the mud with my 5 & 7 year old.

Someone pint me in the right direction here. Thanks in advance

seeing as you are wanting/needing a HD cart, there are a few things you should consider or do to build a cart that will last in your situation.

I would ask a few questions first. Your tires, are they they type/size you need/want? I mean are they off road tires?

Your cables.....you said they are 0 ga, are ALL of them 0 ga? or just the battery cables? all the cables shoukd be the same gauge.

We will assume everything else is stock and you are 36v, correct?

So here would be my suggestions to you.

Convert to 48v, you are going to want more torgue/speed (more torque than speed but them typically go some what hand in hand).
Upgrade your controller to a 400 or 500 amp
Upgrade your soleniod to a SD Solenoid
Upgrade your F/R Switch to a HD F/R Switch
and depending how much torque you will truely need/want, you may want to get a new or have your motor rebuilt for your needs.

Thanks for the reply! What about the front end, i'd like to install independent sussion for the front/Rear. For sure the front for now.

Couple of questions:

Convert to 48v, you are going to want more torgue/speed (more torque than speed but them typically go some what hand in hand).
*Best Way to do this and where are guys putting the extra 2 batteries...

Upgrade your controller to a 400 or 500 amp
*Which Brand would be best, i know board sponsors sell them

Upgrade your soleniod to a SD Solenoid
*Which Brand would be best, i know board sponsors sell them

Upgrade your F/R Switch to a HD F/R Switch
*Which Brand would be best, i know board sponsors sell them

depending how much torque you will truely need/want, you may want to get a new or have your motor rebuilt for your needs.
*If i would get a new motor what size, who can i contact about rebuilding mine? Which is more cost effective?
