Squealing Like a Pig
Hey everybody!! I have a Gas Yamaha G9...Everytime I drive it, when I first push down the gas pedal it screeches and squeals
 ...until it warms up for a while, then it won't squeal anymore...any ideas on what could be causing this? Thank You all in advance!!  |

check the starter/generator belt, sounds like it's loose, or needs a new one |

A belt, or bearing..
Got a similar issue. And I been instructed here to change a belt.. |

Thank you so much for the help...I had no idea what was causing this problem, but I will try changing the belt...I'm tired of thinking I live on a pig farm everytime the golf cart starts up, lol!!

Just remove the baby pig from the engine compartment....problem solved!
Seriously, it's likely a belt squeal, I've had luck with the belt sprays at the parts store. If that's not it, hmmmm, start disconnecting stuff to see where the squeal is coming from. First disconnect the drive belt and run the starter gen and see if its there. If not, you may have a bigger problem, like a roller crank bearing, although I've never heard one squeal, more like a grinding rattling noise. |
