01 TXT build
got an 01 TXT off a buddy that had been sitting out by his barn for a couple of years for free. dismantled it, new batteries, cables, new rear leaf spring, brake cables, 6 inch lift, wheels and tires, and several add ons and a homemade paint job later I've got a pretty sweet little buggy. I'm pretty proud of it since this is my first try and doing anything like this and my first golf cart. had to show off some pics.

Re: 01 TXT build
Looks good! TXT Electric was what I started out with and then got a Gas one. Waiting on some of Geoffs parts to come in so I can upgrade the engine.

Re: 01 TXT build
Great build, how did you paint the roof black or did you buy a roof?

Re: 01 TXT build
When I was giving mine the makeover, I searched and read about painting roofs. Everything I tried wouldn't work. So I started looking around for rook panels in black. There is a place called Shoppa's near us that has golf carts and such out front all the time. Wife and me stop in and they have quite a few new and used carts. Head back to parts dept and inquire about a new black roof. Guy gives me a price with tax total to be less than a hundred. Paid and they ordered and had it in less than a week.
By the time materials and your time to paint your own roof, this was cheaper. |
