97 lifted 48v CC park brake issue
I recently purchased a lifted 97 CC 48v for hunting & farm travel. Great cart overall, and although the brakes function well, the park brake does not engage. Before I dedicate hands-on time to this, has anyone encountered a similar problem or can suggest an approach to remedy?

Re: 97 lifted 48v CC park brake issue
You can adjust the park brake by disconnecting the ball joint from rod that extends down thru floor on back of PARK pad. Screw ball joint up or down on threaded rod end to achieve satisfactory results. Typically the adjustment for the brake latch to accelerator prawl (both under the cart) is 1/8" clearance when NOT engaging the park brake. They glide past each other and engage when you press the PARK pad. Adjusting Ball Joint on rod end makes this adjustment. Crawl under the cart and you will see how the latch and prawl work. If you have the correct clearance, then check the prawl and latch for wear while your down there. You may need to replace one or both.
