Do I need longer F-N-R cables for lift?
I searched but couldnt find anything. I have a Lifted 93 Marathon, and yesterday my Reverse cable snapped. I have always noticed that the cables seemed to be really tight underneath and never really seemed to work correctly because I would have to hold the lever to whatever side until I felt it "lock" in when the cart started to move, then I could take my hand off.
Basically I am curious if I need different cables because of the lifted cart, maybe longer ones? Thanks! |

All I can find are the stock lengths. Anyone know where to get longer ones, or have any dimensions from theirs? I have all the tools to make my own.

not sure if they work on a 93 but I had the same problem on my 96 ez-go when I installed a Honda 390 so I bought some cables for a st350 they are about 4" longer works perfect

^^^^This^^^^, the ST350 cables are longer and should be the cure for your problem. Just make sure they are securely attached so they cannot be torn off while riding.

Re: Do I need longer F-N-R cables for lift?
Ok, Thank you everyone. I just ordered two of them. I made a little bit bigger of a skid plate underneath out of an old road sign, and I figure I will run them in between that and the motor. Basically just like stock.
Or is there any better or recommended way? |
