cc ds front shocks?
Hey I have an 89 ds. Putting a 6" a arm lift on it. My front shocks are shot. I ordered some coilovers that were about 10 3/4 end to end n they are too long. Has anybody put coilocers on the front ? I thought about taking out the leaf spring to do it but not sure if it would be a good idea. Input please!

Re: cc ds front shocks?
After looking at the way the lift is designed I'm undecided. The new shock plate that bolts to the top just bolts the shock to one side unlike the original. I guess my thoughts are that isn't strong enough and maybe it should be bolted to both sides, which could be done. Just not sureif tthe delta shock is meant to take that kind of pressure.

Just shooting from the hip here, coilovers seem like overkill for most of the a-arm lifts I've seen. Are you wanting to ride this thing hard or what? Maybe a long travel kit would be a better option.
