Default My "Bigger IS Better" build

I figured I would document my newest build for you guys. Just a 1995 club car DS gas that I picked up for $1300. Just a completely stock cart that had brand new oem tires/rims and a folding back seat.
Started off with a complete teardown to clean it.

Using my power washer, degreaser and some aluminum brightener I went to town on the frame, engine and rear diff.

I'll be installing an All-sport Super Sport 7.5" lift, but before I do I'm gonna try to make this thing look better than new. Started out by taking the diff apart. Removed both axle tubes, and the rear brakes so I could sand blast off the rust, repaint and reassemble. The one bolt in the tranny that attaches it to the engine pan had snapped off causing a small gear oil leak. So I got the bolt extracted and installed a new one.

I left the drum brakes off cuz I'll be installing an Ausco rear disc brake kit that I got on BGW through Sunoco. Before I started putting the back half back together I painted the oem shocks, and the new HD leafs to help protect them.

Putting it all together. Also replaced the front snubber bushing. Tomorrow I'll work on the front end.

PCC...What I've posted so far is about 2 weeks of work. I didn't even put in the things like: sending it out to have the frame re-welded, rebuilding the drive clutch, and of course just waiting for parts. I've easily got another month to go.

20131107_142859.jpggot the front lift installed, tie rods cleaned, and wheel bearings inspected. Unfortunetly the r/f bearings were bad (rusted from water) so now I have to wait til the new ones arrive before I can button it up and get the camber adjusted. In the meantime I got the driven clutch and both belts installed.

I'll be happy when I can get this rolling so I can get the lights, winch and brake light wiring installed.

Spent the last 3 days installing headlights, taillights, fog lights, brake light kit and getting all the wiring run. What a pain.
