Default What Model EZGO ?

I got this cart and was told it is a 97 EZGO. Not sure what model and I want to do some front suspension mods, but dont know enough about it.

Can anyone tell what model EZGO it is?

For the front suspension would it make a difference if it was a gas or electric? It is currently powered by a quad motor/tranny.

How can I tell how tall the current front lift is? I plan to remove the rigid bars and put shocks in.

Would shocks that fit the stock setup fit an a arm lift as well?

Thanks

It's not a 97, they stopped making your cart the Marathon cart in 94, look on the passenger side of the cart under the glove box there should be an ID plate, post the MFG code#,

Its an EZGO Marathon. I believe the front suspension is all the same between gas/electric marathons.

Your lift is however tall the leaf blocks he put in there are.(looks like 2"s or so) I don't know why but last night when I was looking at it, it looked like he had used the rigid bars to lift it more, but I just looked at the leaf springs and they are not flexed much so I don't think he did.

As far at the shocks go, probably not. The way the stock ones mount is most likely different than an A-arm setup, BUT that's why god made welders. Technically, anything will fit on anything lol

Thanks for the replies.

Is the A arm setup better suspension than a drop axel with good shocks?

Absolutely, but I don't think there are kits for marathons so youd have to make your own or find a doner quad.
