Towing your cart
I am about to load it up for the weekend and curious how you tend to tow them. Forward/backwards? Does it matter? And I am planning to remove the windshield every time. 3 1/2 hour trip. I think I have towed them all variations without issue, but it has a gouge in the front cowl where it's prior owner did not remove the windshield and it snapped and rubbed. Always remove the windshield!

Re: Towing your cart
I've always towed mine forward without any issues, mostly because my utility trailer is large enough!
(folded windshield down on short trips, and no windshield on longer trips.) |

I tow mine backwards with out windshield on my 10' trailer if I tow it on my 14' or bigger I tow it forward the only reason I tow backwards is for enough tongue weight

Re: Towing your cart
I always reverse my gasser onto the trailer as I like to have the center of gravity in front of the trailer axle.

Re: Towing your cart
I tow mine either way but if you tow it backwards, tie down the seat. Mine seat blew off and landed on the gas pedal. My smart self didn't turn the key off and it was running wide open throttle for about 45 minutes and burn up the belt in half. Live and learn.

I've got this idea of building a mini gooseneck to tow behind my golf cart (building a cute little dovetailed flatbed on it, so it's only fitting) I was planning on using the stock wheels and tires off the cart for the trailer.... Now after reading this post I'm thinking maybe I'll make it big enough to put my cart on and make and adapter to hitch it to my trucks bumper hitch.... Any idea if golf cart tires will hold up on the highway? |

Re: Towing your cart
Salinas I'm not sure the tires are rated for highway use. It should have a statement about that on the sidewall.
