EZgo 2003 lift and tires
Posted this on EZGO gas site, maybe should have been over here
OK new to the Golf cart world. But purchased a 2003 EZgo and in process of getting it ready to use at the Texas coast. Question I have is on tire and lift kit choices. Since it is for the beach, want to keep the original rims no need to buy nice rims to get beat up by the sea air. If I do a 3 inch lift kit what is the largest tire I can use on the stock rims. I see that there are available 22 inch tires for an 8 inch rim. Will this work? |

Re: EZgo 2003 lift and tires
your problem will be with stock rim offsets. the front will most likely work, but the back most likely will not. others will chime in, but this is what i was trying to do with a 6" lift, (use the stock wheels for plowing) but the offset didn't work anymore with lift blocks. 04 ezgo txt here..

Re: EZgo 2003 lift and tires
Depending on the lift you should be able to get away with 22" and there are 20s out there as well. As for keeping the original rims, I wouldn't, most tires I have seen are with in a few dollars of buying it already mounted on a 10" steel that would have the offset. Its just not worth the hassle to me.
