First Attempt at painting a Club Car
This was our first paint job attempt after reading several posts on this forum. It's matte orange with black trim. Sherwin Williams automotive paint with adhesion promoter and primer for the plastic and self etching primer for the aluminum. Overall i think it looks great. Based on the forum posts I'd say it's a 5 footer. (5 feet away it looks perfect). We also painted the top. Unlike others, we had great luck with our top. We used adhesion promoter, flexible primer and matte black paint. I can't overemphasize how important the prep work was. Sanding, filling holes, sanding, wax and grease remover, sanding, more wax and grease remover.....oh and also we used a compressor with a HVLP gun...no more than 15psi at the gun. Not bad for a couple of girls with no previous painting experience.

I noticed the beer bottle. That always helps projects go smoothly! Even if you don't really do a good job, who cares?! Good looking paint though.

Yes it seems as though beer goes good with painting.... I didn't take it off because I thought I may not get it back together. If I ever do it again though I will take it off.
