Need help matching lift to these tires
I am rebuilding 1993 club car ds. Almost to the lift kit/tires stage. Luckily, I came across a set of 4 Carlisle Trail Wolfs 22-10-10 for an impossible to beat price. Have black offset wheels.
My plan is to go with an a-arm lift kit, probably Allsports. Besides the obvious (extra two inches), would a six inch vs. a four inch lift give me any advantages for these tires like turning radius, etc. Would there be any disadvantages like stability or width (as in fitting on a trailer or back of truck)? Keep in mind that I am not going to put tires bigger than 22 on this cart. I do not want to take away any more torque/range. I have a scottyb conversion for the controller, throttle, solenoid, etc. Thanks for the help. |

Re: Need help matching lift to these tires
If you've decided on the type of lift, then the extra height would only be an advantage I would think. The extra wheel well space will allow for more articulation. I guess it would lessen the stability on trails and such, but it shouldn't be by much. If in doubt, stick with the 4" kit.
