Carryall snowplow build
Since I bought this buggy a few months back I'd been considering adding a plow I saved from my old Bolens. The tire came in handy too for the front. You can't see from this angle but there is a 2" receiver on the front. Looks factory and I don't know the purpose other than maybe parking boat trailers. The brush guard looks like someone used it pull something out and bent the mounting plate.
I made a widget to go in the receiver for the plow frame. If this isn't strong enough I could get a pintle hitch plate from TSC and modify that. I picked up another plow and added onto mine. The one I picked up was a couple inches shorter in height and wasn't rolled on the top. I replaced the brushguard mounting plate and took 2" out of the length to get it close to the body. Then added a plate on top of the cross brace for the winch. I also cut and drilled a new bottom guard for the plow. It's a little close to the tires on the max angle setting but I don't see me using it that often and I didn't want to extend it out any further. The way I have it set up it would be an easy modification. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out and can't wait till it snows again to try it out. |
