Default RXV - from fleet to cool

After reading through hundreds of build threads here on bgw I figured I would start my own for the fleet rxv that I purchased last christmas. This website is completely invaluable and I appreciate all the knowledge that is floating around.

My cart build isn't going to be anything crazy, but I plan on making it pretty cool... in my opinion.

I have already made the cart street legal and it is registered in Florida. Lights, seat belts, mirrors, etc. Also had the dealer I bought it from turn up the controller to the highest setting. Cart does 19 mph as of now.

Build Plans:

I ordered a 6" jakes spindle lift and new wheels and tires. I went with 23 x 10.5 x 12 tires on black imitation bead lock wheels. All should be delivered by the end of the week and installed this weekend.

New paint and an atv winch are also on the agenda.

Little maintenance before:

About 6 months after I got the cart the ride quality started to worsen. By that I mean it became very bumpy. Almost like I am driving down an old concrete road with seams every 5 ft. I have been putting off working on it because I thought that possibly the stock golf course tires were out of round and I would be replacing them anyway. Well last night I pulled the tires and hubs off and ran the cart up on jack stands to see if the axle itself had any wobble to it... And it does. Bad bearings I am assuming. So I went to my local cart store this morning and got a couple new bearing that will hopefully fix the issue.

Attached are a couple pics of the cart as it sits now, the new wheels and the rear bearings.

Just for future knowledge but running a cart on stands can end up costing you a lot of money. Need to have a load on the cart and that can not be simulated with the brake since RXV's don't have traditional brakes. But looking good like the black wheel package.

I only ran the cart at about quarter throttle so I don't think that would be enough to do any damage, but thanks for the heads up.

Also, got the axle bearings replaced and took it out on a test drive, problem solved!! Wheels and tires will be here tomorrow and lift on Friday. I'm like a little kid on Christmas Eve!

Just finished up the lift and man does it sure look good. Wife's car was blocking the garage so I couldn't get it out to test drive. Tommorow morning will have to do and I will write up a review of the lift install also
