ideas for longer tie rods or where can i buy some
I am building a long travel yamaha g2 and made wider A arms about 8 inches wider per side and added lift plates about 8 inches higher than stock. where can i buy or how can i make some new tie rods so my steering will reach. Ill try to attach pictures its a build in the process.

cut the originals in half and add in how ever much longer you need with the same size rod and weld them up!
chamfer the ends to get a strong weld. ive done it twice now with my g2. first time i did exactly what your doing made a 8 inch lift and needed longer tie rods and now i have a atv front end and had to lengthen those. so far so good its been through alot and is still holding strong |
