Default Roll Cage Help

I haven't even gotten my clone yet (on its way from Vegas Carts) and I'm already planning my next chore on the club car ds; Roll cage!
What size tubing is most commonly used, diameter and thickness? Also if you guys could help me by posting some pics, that would help me tremendously with design. With or without rear seat or pickup bed. Any other input will be greatly appreciated.

Here is one I built for my dads club car. Schedule 40 pipe, 1 1/4 outside diameter. Cost of materials was less than $100.
Technically this would be called an "upper brush guard" as I don't think anyone offers a true "roll cage" for purchase

Danman, thanks for your pics. Any reason why you didn't use 1 piece of pipe for the side rails? Im thinking it had to be easier doing it the way you did, but do you think it's as strong?

At that time, I didn't have a bender. I had a piece laying around that had a 180 bend in it and cut it into two 90's for the back, then cut a 45degree out of the front bend, bent it down and welded it up.

That cage has been on there for over a year, and was the first one I built. Haven't had any problems thus far.

Whose got an "upper brush guard" with a utility bed? Im thinking something cool for spare tire, gas can, tool box, and extra room for other supplies (ie. Sleeping bag, tent and cooler).

Check out Outback Fabricators under our sponsors. They have a bunch of different options for the rear of the cart. I borrow some of their ideas from time to time
