Jakes 6" double a-arm lift for 03 CC DS

I ordered a Jakes 6" double a-arm lift for my 03 CC DS and still haven't been able to install it since I STILL don't have all the hardware parts!!! The worst part is my family is leaving on vacation tomorrow and we were planning on taking it with but that's not going to happen now. I just got off the phone with them for the third time, and hopefully the last, trying to rectify the situation, they assured me the final missing part would be here on Monday but I'll be gone on vacation. I went with Jakes after reading positive reviews on them but let me tell you I would give them an F rating. You would think for $420 with shipping that the order would have been filled right the FIRST TIME!! I have been totally inconvenienced, totally unhappy, and totally let down since placing my order, and now without a golf cart as we are leaving Chicago for a week for warmer weather and I still don't have the lift on. I'm now wondering if they even got the lift right? If anyone is thinking about going with a Jakes good luck, I personally would have went with an Allsports if I knew I was going to have to go through all this nonesense. Save your money, time, and sanity and go with a different lift kit company. F rating all the way, shame on you Jakes. Maybe you should hire more competent employees, or maybe you just don't care, either way you will not be getting anymore business from me!!!

What pieces are missing?

First it was 2 bolts and 4 socket head cap screws, then it was 4 socket head cap screws, then they shipped 3 socket head cap screws instead of 4, so right now it is 1 socket head cap screw, totally unacceptable

Well I would t let a 14 cent bolt ruin your vacation. I know all of it should have been there but why dont you go to home depot and get a bolt so you can install it and take it with you?

Maybe more interested in bashing Jakes in first posts--here, and elsewhere--than obtaining what he needs to get on with his vacation. My 2 cents...

I feel your pain. I ordered a 4" double a-arm kit for my cart and I was missing the 4 socket head bolts as well. A quick call to Jakes fixed the problem, but I understand the point of it all. Where is their quality control. I would ask for a partial refund, or maybe a discount on a bumper or something.

Not here to bash anyone at all, just stating the FACTS for other would be buyers about my experience. A 14cent bolt thats it? A little concerned about their quality now. I'm a man of principle and have limited time between work and family, but you're telling me to run to Home Depot to get a bolt? Don't have the time, and your reasoning is a little screwed up in my opinion Sunoco. Obviously you must be under the Jakes family umbrella, and by the way I'm enjoying my vacation and this warm weather, minus my cart. Thanks Jakes,you guys are top notch!!!
