Default Bad Boy brake problem

I recently bought a 05 Bad boy buggy. The buggy has no brakes. I read that Club car DS drums will work on the buggy--they supposedly are thinker than the original bad boy drums. I ordered them. After I removed the old drum, I noticed that when the brake peddle is pushed that the shoes do not move at all. What is the problem? There appears to be no master cylinder, and it appears to work like an emergency brake on a car--with a cables and a spring.

It looks like you need new cables. Its EZGO parts. Or you need hydraulic brakes. Either way it looks like someone broke a cable and ghetto rigged it.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from said he replaced one of the cables. LOL Do you know what Ez-go part number will fit or the length they are suppose to be? I also recently read that the rear brakes can be replaced with brake pads and rotors, would you happen to know which would fit and where to buy them?

I don't know the part numbers. I would think an 05 TXT parts would work? You can upgrade to hydraulic or mechanical disc and remove the mechanical drums.

Scottyb @ www.cartsunlimited.net sells Ausco mechanical rear kits and I think wheelsca 4wheel kits
Jakes sells a 2 wheel front hydraulic kit
I sell a 2 wheel rear hydraulic kit

Will your Hydraulic rear wheel brake kit fit my 05 bad boy? EZ-Go brake parts are interchangeable with my buggy. How much are they and how would I order them if I decided to?
