Tires rubbing after lift
I have a 1993 Club Car DS, which I converted from 36V to 48V. Two 6v batteries in the bag well. I installed a jakes 4" a-arm lift kit. 22-10-10 tires with offset wheels. Problem is that driver's side tire (and prolly the other side when I get someone in there) rubs on bumps. I assume this is because of the extra weight in the back caused by the batteries, as I am an average-sized guy.
I also installed new shocks in the back - Monroe Gasmatics - the ones identified on here as fitting. Looks like a I just need another couple of inches of lift. Obviously, in hindsight, a six inch lift would have been better, but absent that, any advice? Thanks. P.S. Jakes told me 22-10-10 would be fine on this cart even in this configuration, so don't know what's up. Maybe my springs are shot. Oh, and if you have a tire pressure (they are Carlisle Trail Wolfs) that might help too. |

Re: Tires rubbing after lift
Tire pressure should be no more than 10psi. I would bet your springs are worn out and sagging slightly.
