Unstable lifted cart...
My BIL has a 94 CC DS Gasser with a 3" or 4" spindle lift (mfr. unknown, but it's Chinese) with 20" tires and it has gotten unstable on him. Cart is at camp and camp is opening soon, so he wants to try and figure out his options. What would you guys check first? He is on the original OEM shocks and front spring, but does have HD rear springs and rear seat.

Re: Unstable lifted cart...
spring bushings and king pins would be a start along with checking tie rods

Re: Unstable lifted cart...
Check the rear frame, where the rear of the springs mount,They are known to break. We have one at Dads' shop now,the rear shackle-mounts are torn off on both sides. He just bought an update-kit from ebay(factory CC kit) to prevent this.

Re: Unstable lifted cart...
Check everything above, also check the tire pressures. Under inflation can cause an unstable ride. I don't have a lifted cart myself but I have heard that lifting the carts and bigger tires in general make the rides more unstable. I'm sure some of the guys here can chime in on this....

Check welds on C/C's they break with stress. Check all the above also while sober!
