coilover shock help
I'm looking to replace the coilover shocks on my pioneer 1200. They have an extended length of about 13" seem to only have about 2-2.5" of travel by the tape measure. the front end of this thing is so stiff jacking up one corner and putting weight on it barely makes the coilover colapse 3/4 of an inch.
spent some time looking tonight with no luck any assistance is appreciated! Thaks -Aaron |

Re: coilover shock help
Start by figuring the spring rate of the shock you have.
Measure the extended length, then with the shock off the cart, have someone measure the length while you attempt to put all of your body weight on it. Subtract that measurement from the extended length. divide your body weight by the distance the shock traveled. This will give you the spring weight. |
